City of Ferguson makes history by electing first black and first female mayor

History was made last night in Ferguson Missouri when the cities first black and first female mayor was elected. The city is most known for its protest back in 2014 when a cop killed an unarmed black teen.

Ella Jones served as a city Council woman in Ferguson for the last five years. Last night she won the election, taking 54% of the vote, making her the newly elected mayor for Ferguson.
