Italy will now require schools to teach students about climate change

Public schools in Italy will now require children in every grade to study sustainability. Education minister of Italy announced today that the new requirement would start September 2020. The lessons will be 33 hours per year. Geography classes will also study the impact of human actions on different parts of the world. The curriculum will be developed by a group of experts, including Kate Raworth of Oxford University. High school students would learn the United Nations 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
