New York and Virginia schools must now teach mental health

Schools in NY and Virginia will now teach mental health education to students. It is a law that has been passed and went into effect as of yesterday. Mental health education will be covered during physical education and health class. This applies to elementary, middle and high school. New York law says mental health

"is an integral part of our overall health and should be an integral part of health education in New York schools."
